Gatlin was the most incredibly neat dog. He loved life!! He was so incredibly fun to show. First weekend out he takes winners dog. Second weekend out at 9 months old he take a five point major reserve at the CO regional specialty. He then breezed to his Championship and his second weekend out as a special a Group 1 owner handled. I would consider Gatlin one of the best Akitas to fit the standard as "large and powerful". His stucture was stuning with reach and drive that was incredible. He was a happy dog that loved people and other dogs a true mentor to this breed. Shown in the photo below with his daughter being a clown as usual. This photo taken while he is up visiting Canada with friends Darlene & Faye Schlemmer at Cromer Valley Akitas. Gatlin left us with 8 American Champions to date and numberous Canadian Champion. How do you say good-bye to such an awesome friend. I so miss your High Fives in the morning my special boy.
